Long Beach Nature Tours is now Nomad Adventure Guides!

For 30 years, we’ve introduced guests to the wild beauty of Tofino and Vancouver Island. Over those decades, our passion for exploration has grown, along with the scope of the adventures we offer. Now, as we celebrate three decades of guiding, we're stepping into a new era. Nomad Adventure Guides reflects who we are today: a team inspired by the freedom to roam, driven by curiosity, and ready to lead guests deeper into British Columbia’s most remarkable natural spaces.

WHY THE REBRAND?

Long Beach Nature Tours has been rooted in Tofino for 30 years, sharing the beauty of the west coast with visitors from around the world. As our experiences have grown beyond this single location and a single product; expanding into multi-day backpacking trips and wildlife tours across Vancouver Island; we felt it was time for our name to better represent who we’ve become. We are evolving from a single location tour operator into a dynamic guiding company that reflects the true spirit of exploration. Nomad Adventure Guides embraces the freedom to roam wild, in step with the migrations of wildlife, seasonal weather patterns and the nomadic spirit that inspires us.

Our Goal is Simple

To share the best of coastal British Columbia through wildlife and wilderness experiences. To remain rooted in our home base of Tofino, where our full range of summer tours continue to thrive. To expand into new frontiers; bringing our guests deeper into the wild landscapes of the British Columbia coast.

New Logo

The new emblem is a stone marked with a quartz vein, a symbol born from the shores of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve where our journey began. For years, we walked across those pebbled beaches, guided by the land, the tides, and the quiet strength of stone. That vein of quartz is more than just a line of light, it represents the spark of inspiration, the path we’ve carved, and the guiding thread that runs through everything we do. As Nomad Guides, we honour our roots while moving forward; carrying with us the memory of where we started, and the promise of journeys still to come.

Owner's Message

"When Long Beach Nature Tours first started, the vision was simple: to share the beauty of Tofino. For years, we’ve guided travelers into this coastal wilderness, exploring tidepools, spotting black bears foraging along the shore, and hiking through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Canada. But over time, something began to stir. Guests would ask, “Where else can we go?” “What’s beyond the island?” And I realized: the spirit of adventure was calling us to roam further. To follow wildlife migrations, to trek deeper into the mountains, and to connect people with British Columbia’s wild heart in ways we hadn’t yet explored. We also wanted to offer something different. An experience that goes beyond the standard, surface-level tour. Our goal is to slow down, to give guests the time and space to really connect with nature. To notice the small details, to understand the rhythms of the land, and to feel part of the wilderness rather than just passing through it. This isn’t about rushing from one viewpoint to the next. It’s about building a genuine relationship with the places we visit, and giving our guests the chance to experience them in a deeper, more personal way. That’s how Nomad Adventure Guides was born. Nomad Adventure Guides is the natural evolution of Long Beach Nature Tours. We’ve taken everything we’ve learned; our focus on storytelling and authentic wilderness connection and expanded it to embrace the best of BC. Compiling all of our guides years of experience to create journeys that celebrate not just a place, but a way of traveling: slower, deeper and wilder. At Nomad Guides, it’s not just about getting to the destination. It’s about the campfire stories under starlit skies, the silence of an ancient rainforest and the thrill of seeing wildlife in its own home. It’s about being nomadic in spirit.
